| ARRIVE BANGKOK | |||
| Arrive in
Bangkok and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon proceed to the Royal Grand
Palace. See Wat Phra Kaeo, the holiest Buddhist site in the country and its
Emerald Buddha, the Golden Chedi, the Pantheon of the Chakri Kings and the
Eight Coloured Towers. Overnight in Bangkok.

| BANGKOK - FLOATING MARKET - KANCHANABURI (B, L) | |||
| After an
early breakfast, head out of Bangkok to visit the floating market at Damnern
Saduak. Take a train ride through Kwai Noi gorge before lunch at a local
restaurant. In the afternoon visit the Allied Cemetery, the Railway and
JEATH Museums and the River Kwai Bridge. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.

| KANCHANABURI - AYUTHAYA - PHITSANULOK (B, L) | |||
| After
breakfast, leave for Ayuthaya via Suphanburi and enjoy the scenic rice field
scenery. Visit Bang Pa In and enjoy a boat trip to Ayuthaya, the first of
two ancient capitals of Siam on the trip. In Ayuthaya Wat Yai Chaimongkol,
Wat Phra Srisanpetch and Wat Mongkol Borpit. After lunch continue to
Phitsanulok in the afternoon. Overnight in Phitsanulok.

| PHITSANULOK - SUKHOTHAI - LAMPANG (B, L) | |||
|
After breakfast, visit the impressive
Wat Mahathat before heading out of town to the historical parks of Sukhothai
and Sri Satchanalai. After lunch at a local restaurant in the late afternoon
drive northwards to Lampang. Overnight in Lampang.

| LAMPANG - CHIANG RAI - CHIANG SAEN (B, L) | |||
| After
breakfast, a short visit to Lampang town stopping to see Wat Pra Keo Don Tao
and Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, a highlight of Lanna art and architecture.
Continue to Lampoon to visit Wat Prathat Haripoonchai. After lunch at a
local restaurant, drive to Chiang Rai for a brief visit before continuing
onwards to Chiang Saen, in the “Golden Triangle” area where the borders of
Thailand, Laos and Myanmar meet. Overnight in Chiang Saen.

| CHIANG SAEN - MAE SAI - MAE SALONG - MEA CHAN/CHIANG RAI (B, L) | |||
| After
breakfast, depart to Sop Ruak, a small trading village and the actual point
where Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Continue to Mae Sai, the northernmost
Thai town on the Myanmar border. Walk around the local market or cross the
border for a peek into the Burmese town of Takhilek. Lunch at a local
restaurant. Proceed to Mae Salong via Pha Mi and Doi Tung. Visit Yao and
Akha hill tribe villages on the way. Continue through scenic mountain
scenery to Mae Chan/Chiang Rai. Overnight in Mae Chan/Chiang Rai.

| MAE CHAN/CHIANG RAI - CHIANG MAI (B, L, D) | |||
| After
breakfast, leave heading towards Chiang Mai, via Thaton. On the way stop at
an elephant camp. Before reaching Chiang Mai, make a loop through the Mae Sa
Valley west of Mae Rim to get a view of the scenic mountain landscape around
Chiang Mai and some of its ethnic minorities. In the evening enjoy a
traditional Kantoke dinner, accompanied by a hill tribe show. Overnight in
Chiang Mai.

| CHIANG MAI (B, L) | |||
| After
breakfast, drive up Doi Suthep mountain overlooking Chiang Mai. Continue
with visits to the old city within the walls to absorb the atmosphere and
see its main temples: Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Chiang Man, and Wat Phra Singh.
After lunch at a local restaurant the rest of the day and dinner are free at
leisure. In the evening a visit to the Night Bazaar is recommended.
Overnight in Chiang Mai.

| Free at
leisure until transfer to Chiang Mai Airport or Chiang Mai Railway Station
for onward journey.
